Peacock feathers... Good/Bad Luck?

I really love them and I've been dying to get some peacock feather earrings! But I'm sure someone once told me peacock feathers are bad luck (which is why I've not bought them sooner). But after a sift through various relating articles I found... "Peacocks and their feathers are described as representing protection, safe-guarding, harmony, good luck, serenity, peace of mind, and relaxation" ...Therefore I shall be snapping up a pair ASAP!

Irrational fears...

We all have them... my biggest is the fear of snakes or "Ophidiophobia" if you want to get technical. It's weird I know a snake is a million times more scared of me etc etc... But I'm not actually sure it is that irrational after all snakes can kill people!!! Seriously if I ever came face to face with one of those slithery venomous buggers I swear I'd die of a heart attack before it even got the chance to sink it's fangs into me.

I'm also scared of the dentist... too many painful experiences there! And on a lighter note I also have Bambakophobia (fear of cotton wool balls) yes really... we'll it's not actually a fear, I know they can't kill me or anything, but the thought of touching them makes me cringe like listening to fingernails on a black board kinda thing... so yes that fear is definitely irrational!

Land of the Stupid, Home of the Brave!

Do you ever get it where you see an image or hear a song or even a smell a scent and it instantly reminds you so vividly of a place/time/person in your life? Well I saw this picture and it did exactly that... It reminded me of crazy party times in Jamaica. Once we did actually make a raft but not quite as good as this. In our sun-kissed rum fuelled antics we sailed along the coast and even ended up in the background of someone's wedding video... haha! Good times!

The image is actually from the Diesel SS11 Campaign "Diesel Island" which I also really like... Land of the Stupid, Home of the Brave... gotta love it. Also male models Vincent Banic and Texas Olsen are very easy on the eye too... perhaps I should book a trip to Diesel Island. 

Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirates life for me...

I am seriously excited for the much anticipated release of Pirates of the Caribbean (Part 4) On Stranger Tides... There is something about Johnny Depp dressed as a Pirate that makes me swoon! Seriously fellas go grab your "guy-liner" and a bottle of rum and watch the fair maidens come flocking haha!

And of course not forgetting the gorgeous Penelope Cruz as the new leading lady. I'm sure she will more than compensate for the lack of Orlando & Keira in this film. Check them both out on the covers of Entertainment Weekly and The Hollywood Reporter.

Pirates of the Caribbean "On Stranger Tides" is out in Cinemas on the 18th May.
